OT 440: Assignment for 08.06

On August 6th, our class reviewed the requirements and protocols for the website Exxat.com. The purpose of this class meeting was to understand the requirements each student needed to complete and the process on how to do so before our level one fieldwork in September. During this meeting, thorough instructions were given on how and what to fill out on our profiles. When filling out personal information on the profile it is important to be thorough, professional, and concise. Examples were given of appropriate pictures to select as a profile picture. It was stressed that pictures in an inappropriate outfit, photos taken with alcohol, and engagement/wedding photos are not appropriate for our professional profile. Appropriate wardrobe options were given for males and females to show how we should dress while on level one fieldwork. We were also instructed to list current, permanent, as well as out of state addresses that could serve as housing options while on fieldwork. For employment history, we should list our most recent job as well as the shadowing hours logged prior to starting school and all of the volunteer opportunities logged while being in school. It was stressed for us to enter the appropriate completion dates and expiration dates on our documentation. If not, our documents could be rejected or disapproved not allowing us to submit our profiles for approval. It is our responsibility to have our personal information and wish list filled out on our profiles by August 12th and to have all of our necessary documents uploaded and submitted by August 16th. After everything is complete our signature is required in order to grant fieldwork advisors access to view our profiles. We are also expected to email the link of our completed profiles to Professor Flick after submitting them online.
